My dear Mr Johnson: It will give me a
great pleasure to meet my fellows of this
author's {blue ?] ? of December 5th
[over ?] the completion of Mr Stedman's
American Anthology, and only ill health
or some other [ ? ] calamity will prevent my
attendance which I regard as a duty, [in ?]
of my long acquaintance with, and regard for
Mr. Stedman, as well as the pleasure I am sure
it will, I have known him nearly fifty years.
